Autobiography and self portraits

Autobiography and self portaits are alike in the sense that they both tell a story in some way. An autobiography is a book that tells a story and you have to read it to understand the details of a person's life.
A self portrait is a picture that tells a story about a person (themself).

Both are written or taken by the person that it is about. One is written in a book and the other is taken through a camera or drawn as a picture. Self portraits use illustration while autobiography uses reading comprehension. These are the similarities and differences between self portraits and autobiographies.
